March is Women’s History Month, and we’re celebrating by spotlighting extraordinary women shaping Colorado’s music scene from established favorites to rising voices just beginning to break through.
Denver alternative rock band French Cuffs, led by frontwoman Ashley Niven, will release their debut album later this year. We’ll be spinning their punchy new single “Give Up” all month long.
We'll also hear new tracks from pop-punk mainstays Blue Mesa, fronted by Holli Smith. The band is working on its third album after more than a decade playing together.
Former Local 303 artist Isadora Eden has reemerged with a new project, Dollpile, channeling her signature ethereal fuzz-folk into a fresh chapter. We’re also featuring luminous synth-pop from Lily Conrad, who just released a new album under her DIY solo moniker babybaby4ever.
After years of buzz around Denver folk-pop songwriter Cameron Cade, she officially joins the Local 303 with new music this month. Lokana also returns to the spotlight. Following the release of her new EP, the Littleton local songwriter whom we first featured during lockdown when she was a teenager now has new songs and a new era.
Tune in all month to discover these artists and more and don’t miss your chance to meet some of them in person at our next Local 303 Meetup.
Join us for our Local 303 Meetup on Monday, March 30th at Skylark Lounge from 6:30-9pm. There will be two performances, babybaby4ever and February's featured artist Jordan Burgett & Residing Elsewhere! We will also have door prizes and concert ticket giveaways. The event is always free and is sponsored by Cambio Tequila.
Are you a Colorado musician who wants to be featured in the Local 303? Send us your music!

About: babybaby4ever is the passion project of singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Lily Conrad. Her longtime involvement in the Denver music scene and a jazz performance degree from MSU Denver gives Conrad a distinctive voice and writing style rooted in improvisation and experimentation. Drawing from the minimalist pulse of Stereolab and the romantic gloss of the Italians Do It Better catalog, Lily crafts her own instinctual and personal brand of synth pop. Letting experiences of the heart and dream-like moments of clarity guide her writing, babybaby4ever songs take audiences on a sparkly, psychedelic vacation from the drum of ordinary life. On her latest release ‘4ever Is A Long Time,’ luminous vocal harmonies and propulsive drums cut through the confusion of heartbreak, delivering a kinetic synth-pop soundtrack for self discovery.
Any upcoming plans to share or behind the scenes work you're excited to tell us about: I’m currently planning a tour to the west coast and back. Touring has been the big goal for a few years now and my latest album really feels like something I need to take on the road and share with as many people as possible. Wish me luck!

About: Where memories meet melodies.
Based out of Denver, comes Blue Mesa; a female fronted rock ensemble that captures the powerhouse energy and nostalgia of the early 2000s scene era, driving their sound home with an upbeat, anthemic alt-rock flare.
In a generation that pressures artists to conform, Blue Mesa has remained faithful to their passion, providing their fans with a genuinely unique sound that encompasses a variety of emotions and genres. Their inspirations are heavily founded within the ideal that everything happens for a reason, and many of their lyrical works follow this design. “If it’s in front of me, then it was meant for me. All the good, all the bad; it is all part of the journey to finding ourselves. We have to be vulnerable, and we have to be strong." - Holli
In an energetic way that both speaks to the heart’s woes, but also feeds the soul with positivity, Blue Mesa hopes to inspire others who may be wrestling with self-doubt, or those who feel they have met an unforgiving fork in the road. “One foot forward every day,” the band says. Together, they write honestly about life, they play the music they love, are way too silly, and above all, love creating and simply want to share in the transformative power that is music.
Blue Mesa has been a prominent force in the Colorado music scene for a decade; they have released two studio albums, with their third LP dropping in March of 2026. They have sold out a multitude of venues, including the Summit Moon Room, The Marquis, and Lost Lake, and have opened for numerous national acts such as Puddle of Mudd and Saving Abel. They pull stylistically from their heroes: Paramore, Taking Back Sunday, Blink 182, Coheed and Cambria, Foo Fighters and Incubus.
Any upcoming plans to share or behind the scenes work you're excited to tell us about: We are releasing our third studio album on Friday, February 27th. We have released three singles off it so far, including "Running on Empty," "Oceans of Time" and "Where Hopes and Dreams are Medicine;" each in which are accompanied by a music video. Our album release show takes place on March 6th at Marquis in Denver, where we will also be filming a live music video to further promote the album!

Cameron Cade aspires to use her music as a comforting presence, helping others to feel less isolated in their own experiences.

Upcoming Shows: Opening for Remember Sports at Hi Dive April 29th and a June tour with Viewfinder ending in a hi-dive show June 19 with Seer Believer and Viewfinder!
About: Dollpile is Easter Sunday turned horror movie. Mixing elements of indie rock, shoegaze, and gothic folk, Dollpile is blending genres to make what they affectionately call fuzz folk. It is music for walking home alone to after a party, doom scrolling til the sun comes up, and then driving around your abandoned hometown pretending you’re actually going to call your high school best friend.
The band changed their name in spring of 2025 to reflect the collaboration between writing members Isadora Eden and Sumner Erhard - the new name comes from an offhand comment made during a photoshoot. Dollpile’s second LP and first under the new band name is called Someone Else’s Heaven and will be released in February of 2026.
After hearing the new material live, a friend described the new songs as "like your old music put on a leather jacket and started smoking ciggies". Dollpile LLC would never glorify cigarette use, but we agree: the new music feels the most confident, most ‘us’ it’s ever felt.
The first four singles are out now, along with 3 DIY music videos made by the band and one made with a friend.
Any upcoming plans to share or behind the scenes work you're excited to tell us about: We are working with Grand Junior, Grand Jury's distribution arm, for our upcoming album! We're really excited to be working with them. We'll also be releasing the album physically via Neon Bloodbath.
Our album Someone Else's Heaven will come out later this year, with a few more singles and music videos on the way before. We'll be heading out on a tour in June and opening for Remember Sports at hi dive in April!
