Driving is a form of independence, but the fatality rate of drivers aged 70 and above is twice as high as any other age group, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

To keep older Coloradans both independent and safe on the road, there are transportation services available across the state to assist with getting to medical appointments, the grocery store, enrichment activities, and more.

Check your county of residence’s government website to learn about more specific senior transportation service options, but here are some free and paid services in various regions to help you get started.
