Kristine Morris, PhD, the new dean of nursing at Colorado State University Pueblo. March 3, 2026.

The nursing shortage is critical among nurse managers and educators. We discuss it with nurse Kristine Morris, PhD. She has led CSU Pueblo's nursing school for less than a year, but came with solutions. Notably, CSU Pueblo and CSU Fort Collins are collaborating for the first time on an academic program. It's a dual bachelors/masters degree in nursing to be taught in Fort Collins. Morris offers perspective on where the profession is headed.
