Detectives unravel one of Denver’s most notorious crimes in the new movie, “The Order.”
Jewish talk show host Alan Berg, known for his leftist politics and provocative style was shot to death in 1984 outside his Denver home. The shooting was traced to a band of white supremacists from the Pacific Northwest.

The film, now playing in theaters, is based on a 1989 book co-authored by Denver City Councilman Kevin Flynn when he was a reporter for the Rocky Mountain News. Flynn told Colorado Matters that Berg branded himself as ‘the man you love to hate.”
